Co-curated by Alexander Campos and Heidi Neilson who wanted to examine the various ways data can be presented beyond conventional graph and pie chart methodologies. The exhibition featured artworks in which data was fundamental to the artistic development of the work while aesthetically having a conceptual translation/transfiguration of the data.
The Center for Book Arts promotes active explorations of both contemporary and traditional artistic practices related to the book as an art object. The Center seeks to facilitate communication between the book arts community and the larger spheres of contemporary visual and literary arts, while being a model organization locally, nationally, and internationally within the field. Founded in 1974, The Center was the first not-for-profit book arts organization of its kind in the nation.
